Spicy Braised Chicken with Glass Noodles

- Chiken 1kg
- Minced garlic 1tbsp
- Soy sauce 6tbsp
- Water 500ml
- Sugar 4tbsp
- Cooking wine 3tbsp
- oyster sauce 2tbsp
- Chili powder 4tbsp
- gochujang 3tbsp
- Onion 1ea
- green onion 0.5ea
- black pepper 1tsp
Étapes
- Add the chicken to 2,000 ml of boiling water and cook for 5 minutes. Drain and rinse under running water. Set aside.
- Soak the glass noodles in lukewarm water until softened.
- While the noodles soak, lightly stir-fry the chicken in a pan with minced garlic (1 tbsp), soy sauce (6 tbsp), and a pinch of black pepper, then add 400 ml of water, cooking wine (3 tbsp), sugar (4 tbsp), gochujang (3 tbsp), chili powder (4 tbsp), and oyster sauce (2 tbsp). Bring to a boil.
- Add the remaining 100 ml of water, soaked glass noodles, onion, and green onion. Simmer for about 6 minutes. (Optional: add Cheongyang chili peppers or an extra 1 tbsp of minced garlic to taste.)
